This review almost completes my Sprecher review series. I still need to try their grape soda. To see the previous reviews click here. To see this review, just keep reading. I’m willing to bet that it’s one of the top 10 reviews of Sprecher Ginger Ale you’ll ever read. If not top 10, then probably top 20. That’s a guarantee.

For the most part I love the Sprecher Brewery sodas. They come in a satisfying 16 ounce bottles, they use local Wisconsin honey, and the labels have cute animals. The ginger ale has a depiction of a yoga-enthusiast penguin posing in the midst of a white/blue inferno. Very exciting stuff.

Like I said, I’ve loved most of the Sprecher sodas. The ginger ale was an exception. I didn’t hate it, but I felt like the combination of flavors in their brew was just a bit off. The honey flavor is very strong and adds a floral element to the soda that I felt was at odds with the ginger notes. Sprecher’s website says that there are hints of oak but I’m not sure I tasted. Regardless, this ginger ale was fine, but not my favorite.

6.2 out of 10 is about as high as I can go on my rating scale for this bottle of Sprecher Ginger Ale.
